“A ship in a port is safe, but that is not what ships are made for.
Sail out to sea and do new things”
Amazing Grace Murray Hopper
This is a blog site maintained by me, Gowri Guruswamy, on fine arts and crafts. It is named ‘Ramaterraincognita’ to connote my exploration in these fields. The name is made from the words – Rama, Terra and Incognita. ‘Rama’ means ‘rejoice’ in Hindi and sounds like ‘Ramme’ which means ‘reach’ in Danish. ‘Terra Incognita’ means ‘unknown land’ in Latin. Hence, Ramaterraincognita means ‘reach/ rejoice the unknown land’.
You can visit my art work at the gallery. I am an amateur in fine arts and I hope to improve my skills. I will be very happy to receive your comments/ suggestions for improvement. I have documented my learning at still-life, botanical studies, anatomy, art works done for fun and other musings. I also blog my poems and my craft work. You can find all the above blog posts along with day-today musings on interests like travel etc under all posts.
Hope you enjoy your visit here! You can share your thoughts by adding comments or by sending a mail to ramaterraincognita[at]gmail[dot]com. I would be happy to hear from you!
